Sunday is the day of rest and family in Paris. Many shops and offices are closed this day. It is nowadays a day devoted to gastronomy and culture but if you are a fashionista, you will find easily the possibility to do shopping.

  • Discover the Flea Markets

Saint ouen Flea Market -ParisAll flea markets are open on the weekend in Paris. You have choice, Saint Ouen flea market , Porte de Vanves for brocante, painting, and vintage fashion and furniture. For sportswear clothes go to Porte de clignancourt Flea market.

You can also discover Porte de Clignancourt Flea market in 18th district for sportswear.

  • Drink coffee or have a brunch at a typical terrace of Paris

By rue des Martyrs and rue des Abesses streets many shops are open on Sunday . You can find fine grocery, many fashion Shops like Maje , Sandro, Les petites and make bargain in their stock clearance stores. Many thrift shops are open on Sunday in those streets

Sunday shopping in the Marais

On Sunday afternoon the shops are opened in the rue des Franc-Bourgeois, at the top of rue Vielle du Temple and rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie.

This is a tourist area and during sunny days there can be crowds of people. You will find clothing , decoration, gifts and shoes stores.

Many French designers stores and fashion shops like Sandro, Ba&sh, Maje, Bensimon, Uniqlo, Repetto.

Don’t miss Fragonard and L’Occitane en Provence for fragrance an cosmetic products and many Thrift and vintage shops which are also open on Sunday.

The Champs Elysée avenue of course .

The famous avenue is also a shopping place where you can find luxury shops like Cartier, Louis Vuitton and more usual trade marks like Zara, Gap, H&M. Don’t Miss Guerlain and Sephora for perfumes. Try also La Durée for there famous macarons

Canal Saint Martin Area

The Banks of Canal St. Martin are pedestrian on Sundays between the rue du Lancry and the street du Clos St-Martin.
From 2pm , all the shops on the Channel and surroundings are opened. You can find many Clothing brands ( Sandro,  Quai 71, Antoine & Lili, thrifts…).

For food, some supermarkets are opened like Monoprix or Franprix

Mall and department stores open on Sunday

The mall named “Les 4 temps” situated in the business district of La Défense is open every Sunday.

You can access it easily by Metro (line 1 or RER A, station La Défense). You can find there many casual trademarks like Zara, Massimo Duti, Mango, André…

A department store, Le Printemps du Louvre is also open every Sunday at Carrousel du Louvre (near Louvre Museum). It is devoted to luxury shopping with many haute couture clothing store: Pradda, Givenchy, Yves St Laurent, Tissot…

The Carrousel du Louvre  is opened till 20 hours. You will find beauty shops , jewels, accessories, gifts, tea, chocolate , an Apple store .

Show How to become Parisian in one hour in Feb. 2016

It is one of many cultural activities we like to have on Sunday: going to Theater. Of course you must think that it is preferable to speak French to understand the play. But, if not, try the show “How to become Parisian in one hour” at Théatre des Nouveautés . It presents, in English,  the life of Parisians with Humour and make a comparison with other countries. This show gather expats and tourist from all other the world but it is also very appreciated by Parisians !
