Paris, the city of love and art, offers plenty of events and experiences to keep you entertained, even in the colder months of January and February. Discover the latest fashion during Paris Fashion Week in January or enjoy Valentine’s Day with your loved one in February. We will tell you which events you should not miss during your stay in Paris in January and February 2024.

Celebrate New Years Day in Paris

Date: 1 January 2024
If you are staying in Paris during New Year’s Eve, you should not miss the fantastic fireworks at the Champs Élysées. From 9 p.m. there will be a big party here with a DJ and video animations. Once you have recovered after a festive night, you can enjoy beautiful music in several places on January 1. Visit the classical concert at the Eiffel Tower, the New Year’s concert in the La Madeleine church or a gospel concert in the Saint Julien le Pauvre church.

Immerse yourself in French traditions and celebrate Epiphany Day on January 6, 2024. This popular tradition focuses on the “Galette des Rois”, also known as the King’s Cake. This delicacy is made from puff pastry and filled with almond cream. What could be more romantic than celebrating the day of love in the city of love? Visit the capital of Paris during a midweek with your loved one and make it a romantic getaway. Some fun ideas for things to do in Paris during Valentine’s Day:

  • Take a romantic walk along the Seine river. Stop at the many bridges to enjoy the view and walk towards the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the lights together.
  • Make a reservation for a gastronomic experience at a dinnercruise on the Seine. During a surprising dinner you will enjoy the beautifully illuminated monuments that you can view from a different angle from the water. Many boat companies offer special Valentine’s Day dinners, including live music.
  • Immortalize your love by hanging a love lock on the Pont des Arts. You can engrave your initials in the lock, hang it and then throw away the key in the Seine. A beautiful memory and symbol of your love.

England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Italy and France play matches against each other over five weeks to win the title of European Champion.
