The Paris Marathon 2019  will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2019. For this 40th edition nearly 50,000 competitors will run the 42,195 kilometers (6 miles, 385 yards) of Paris Marathon. Schneider Electric Paris Marathon is one of the five biggest marathons in the world (along with New York, London, Berlin, Chicago, Paris) for both the importance of the pack, the performances, and benefits & logistics in place for media coverage will start at 8.45 am in the Champs Elysées avenue.

Each year, the wonderful route in the City of Light appeals to more and more athlete-tourists, with about 15,000 competitors from outside France. It’s one of the most import events in Paris in April.

at 8.45 am (8.35 am for handisport participants) from Champs Elysees between rue Marbeuf and George V avenue. There will be a huge crowd, so be in place 1 hour before. Use Metro ( subway)   or public transportation instead of a personal car.

The access can only be reached by the Charles de Gaulle Place (Charles de Gaulle – Etoile Station : line 1,2,6 and RER A)

This year, the route has not changed,  the start will take place on the Champs Élysées, at the foot of Arc de Triomphe,  the participants will then join the Bois de Vincennes toward the place de la Concorde,  Place de la Bastille. They then run along the banks of the Seine from the dock Celestine to the Bois de Boulogne and pass in front of Notre Dame Cathedral, the wonderful Orsay Museum and the Eiffel Tower. Finally they will end their journey on the Avenue Foch.

Reservations are possible since September 6th.

for the 8000 first registered : 70 €
the 8000 next registrations : 85 €
for the 220000 next : 100 €
and For the 8000 last registrations : 115 €

  • colored flames

Depending on your target time (3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 or more), you will have  a bib with a given color.
Pacemakers holding flames corresponding to the colour of your bib will be present in each of the Starting Areas, 30 minutes before the start.

Paris Marathon Entertainment

90 orchestras are positioned along the route playing , jazz; rock or traditional West Indies music. Many Charities will join the marathon

Running expo

The biggest running exhibition in France gives the opportunity to meet other runners and to keep up-to-date with the newest developments in the running world.

Awards

A medal and a finisher t-shirt will be given to every finisher. Graduated from the race will be sent home in the weeks following the event.
